Got in to Motorsports With my Honda Civic at my local track when I was 17. Went every weekend there was an event for 3 years. Lapped the track for two years on used all season tires. Focusing on Driver improvement, I made those all seasons scream for dear life. My 3rd year In, I had a Local Racing Team - Sharples racing / IT Solutions Gift me 6 Nitto NT05 Tires. They Saw potential in my capability's and wanted me to have a chance to try a proper tire - see where that lands me as far as lap times.
This was the fall 2019, Since the pandemic as hit, I had some financial difficulty's, Change of career. I am getting back on my feet, working towards getting my own home this year - my own Shop space, with the space to properly refine my 1997 Civic hatch back.
I have done some autocross events in my 2011 Civic Si Sedan I had over the past two years, but I haven't been able to lap the Circuit since Sharples Gifted me the Nitto tires for my hatch back.
I am Getting back on the track this spring, Breaking off the rust.
I stand by Honda's OEM Manufactures they use, enkei, Exedy, etc.
I have used only Exedy clutch's in all of my Hondas over the years. I beat on them hard, clutch kick the odd time, aggressive launches and shifts time to time. They have never had a problem holding up to Spirted street and track abuse.
I have had the trans off multiple times on my Current car, 5-10-15k Kms since installing it with strictly spirted driving use. It nearly looks brand new. I have not been gentle on it. (blown a Junk yard motor or two)
I have pulled out OEM Exedy clutch's with 200k+ kms use on them, unknown previous history. I am surprised how well they really can stand the test of time when driven by a competent driver.
I Try to keep a Build thread of my car on my Instagram. Although its not the same as Honda-tech, its one of the most popular platforms for motorsports these days.
This year - I want to Document Track days, major Improvements on the car, and theory behind parts tuning, on YouTube. - helping others figure out what they want to/ should modify on there car in all stages of their motorsports career/hobby.
I feel like I am a relatable, easy to get along with, and would be able to capture a large audience that also enjoys motorsports, and having fun on track. I'm knowledgeable about many aspects of car tuning (not ECU tuning), and maintenance.
I love motorsports - have never had an in, but have been striving to get my self out there and be in a position to travel to other sounding tracks here in Canada, ultimately Want to Make the Drive up tp CA in the near future To visit some VtecClub events, at willow springs and chuckwalla. Hoping to Break way in to an Amature league of some sort, Ex: Grid life, etc. To really test my skills side by side with others.
I practice regularly with my sim racing setup - albeit its not real seat time, it helps to refine certain skills, with that - I feel like I can return to the circuit and beat my PB by a number of seconds. and Find the Limits of the NT05's, working in to some sticker tires. Refining my suspension setup and geometry, working up to a point where my 105hp SOHC D16Y engine is what's holding me back from making any serious improvements on time. And moving in to a bigger power plant (b20vtec/K20z3 - unsure witch route ill go, I enjoy B series alot more.)
I would love to build a relationship with a company I Trust and Stand behind - And build an image that shows the quality of Exedy manufacturing , and helps Exedy build a larger presence Within Different parts of motorsport.
